Crisp mornings, clear skies, and calm winds. October is the start of some great aviation-related opportunities and we have a great aviation lineup scheduled for October 5th and EVERYONE is invited. Start your morning off with the EAA Chapter 59 pancake breakfast fly-in, then join Pat Brown of the AOPA Air Safety Foundation as he presents the Weather Challenges seminar. Following the breakfast and Air Safety Foundation presentation, we will provide a hamburger lunch! Fly-in, Drive-in, Hangout! Throughout the morning, weather permitting, rides will be available for new Young Eagle candidates. Are you afraid that you'll miss your favorite college football game? Don't worry, we will have the games on! Join us!!! It's going to be fun!

New Aviation Event - Lancaster Airport Fly-in Breakfast Presentation, Lititz, PA - Saturday, Oct 5, 2019

Breakfast 9-10:30. Adults $8. Prestation -10:30-11:30 FREE. Dan Lightner is a 200-hour VFR pilot who is scheduled to take an accelerated instrument course in January. He flies a club Skyhawk 172SP, and with him on most flights are his wife Holly, 10 year-old son Evan, and 12 year-old son Austin. Dan will tell us about flying with his family from Carlisle, PA, to Staniel Cay, Bahamas, along the Exuma Island chain. If you want to learn more about cross-border and over-water flying, you'll want to join us for this WINGS-credit safety seminar!

New Aviation Event - Stuff a Plane with Toys For Tots, Redlands, CA - Saturday, Nov 16, 2019

The Redlands Airport Association in cooperation with the US Marine Corps will once again hold the Stuff a Plane with Toys for Tots at the west ramp of Redlands Municipal Airport on November 16, 2019 from 10 am to 3 pm. This is the kickoff event for our annual toy drive. Our event this year is a Fly-In and Aviation Expo. The event is open to the general aviation community and will feature: -Military and Vintage Aircraft Displays -Aircraft Exhibitor Awards - Awards will be given in these categories Peoples Choice, Best Contemporary Airplane, Best Classic Airplane, Best Homebuilt Airplane and Best Rotorcraft -Airport Open House -Learn to Fly Seminars - Learn about becoming a pilot -Kid Zone -A Community Blood Drive - LifeStream will be at our event once again. We encourage the community to come out and donate the Gift of Life. -Pet Adoption Event - Guests can adopt a new 4-legged companion! -Redlands Fire Department and Police Department Displays -Food and Beverages - By Chick-fil-a Citrus Plaza -Music, Numerous Exhibits, Raffles and Fun for the Whole Family! Admission is free, but guests are requested to bring a new, unwrapped toy or make a donation. Aircraft exhibitors are requested to arrive between 8 - 9:45am. New Aviation Event - Young Eagles Rally and Breakfast / EAA Chapter 635, DeLand, FL - Saturday, Oct 19, 2019

Please join EAA Chapter 635 and help support our Young Eagles program. The event runs from 8 AM to 11 AM. We have a wonderful breakfast for only $5 cash only that includes pancakes, eggs, biscuits and gravy, sausage, bacon, orange juice and coffeenot required. We also have a partner Commemorative Air Force hangar with Warbirds and Museum memorabilia right next door. We are located on the far East side of the field. New Aviation Event - Celebrating Freedom of Flight Fly-In, Henderson, TX - Saturday, Oct 5, 2019

This years fly-in theme is Celebrating Freedom of Flight. One of the great freedoms we enjoy, but seldom think about, is the freedom of the skies. Very few countries in the world enjoy this freedom as we do. And this year we're going to celebrate that freedom, - says Ron Franks, manager of the Rusk County Airport. This year's event will be supported by Scott Glover and the Mid-America Flight Museum. Scott has a tremendous stable of unique and historically significant aircraft. Scott's mission is to honor veterans, and that's what we will do! Veterans will receive a set of dog-tags to wear, and will be offered a ride in one of the Mid-America aircraft. There will be food vendors to please every palate. Sheila and the Caddo Kats will be performing in a free concert, and 100LL AvGas will be $3.33 per gallon! Guaranteed fun the whole family!!

New Aviation Event - Wing and Wheels Fundraiser, North Andover, MA - Saturday, Sep 28, 2019

Our FIRST Wings Wheels Fundraiser to raise funds to help improve our hangars, starting with a better floor in our meeting room.
