Position Overview:

Base Engine Manager (BEM) for F119 programs at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma.   The BEM is responsible in providing on-site contractor support to USAF for Base Engine Management (BEM) operations described in Air Force Instructions 21-101, 21-104, and T.O.s 00-25-254-1, 00-25-254-2, and 2-1-18.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Document and maintain accurate hardware and module maintenance history in Comprehensive Engine Management System (CEMS).
  • Manage F119 Time Compliance Technical Orders (TCTOs) for depot inductions, which include scheduling accomplishment of TCTO actions and status reporting.
  • Create module induction work scope and component time changes for all depot inductions.
  • Coordinate shipment of F119 modules to and from the Depot.
  • Prepare and brief F119 module status in multiple formats.
  • Assist in resolving F119 engine/module related CEMS and SAP issues.
  • Complete spare part documentation for vendor repaired parts in the F119 Central Inventory.
  • Configurator backup.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years’ engine maintenance experience, or 3+ years’ engine maintenance experience with an advanced degree is required.
  • Current Secret or Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • U.S. Citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Preferred Qualifications:                                                                                       

  • Must have excellent communication skills with internal and external customers.
  • Working knowledge of USAF Engine Maintenance procedures and programs. 
  • CEMS experience.
  • Understanding of Base Engine Management responsibilities identified in Air Force Instruction 21-101 and Air Force T.O. 00-25-254-1.
  • Experience in configuration management, TCTOs, and forecasting. 
  • Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite is desired (i.e., Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access).
  • Able to work with minimal supervision on a wide variety of tasks.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
