As part of our continued growth supporting our customers both domestically and internationally, we are looking for highly skilled aircraft maintenance professionals to join our team. We support the UK Poseidon MRA Mk1 in Lossiemouth, international P8 customers across the globe and will be supporting the E7 Wedgetail located in Lossiemouth. Successful applicants will be based in Lossiemouth, Scotland.
Responsibilities:
The Maintenance Operations Manager leads the P8-A aircraft maintenance team performing primarily base maintenance in support of the Royal Air Force at RAF Lossiemouth. The role is varied, and the successful applicant will work closely with the Operations Managers, leading and managing a team of Boeing Task Leads, Supervisors and Technicians, performing aircraft maintenance under BDUKs MAA MRP Part 145 (MAOS) and alongside the RAF under Contractor Working Party arrangements. The Maintenance Manager is responsible for all aspects of planning and executing P8 maintenance activities in the Atlantic Building in RAF Lossiemouth.
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience in managing technical employees in an aerospace scheduled maintenance environment, with knowledge of military and commercial airworthiness and regulatory systems an advantage. The role will require effective interaction with senior military and company officials; independent work under time constraints and pressure; excellent communication and people skills; familiarity with supply systems and aircraft maintenance practices and procedures. The ability to function in a demanding, on-call, operational environment is essential.
Boeing is seeking either a high potential candidate who has demonstrated success within the Company, ready to excel in their first management appointment, or an experienced manager (internal or external), that has worked in an aircraft maintenance environment, with a background in planning, organizing and executing scheduled maintenance work against tight deadlines.
