Quality Control Supervisor

Onsite in Chandler, AZ

Quality Supervisor job in Chandler, Arizona is available with Moseley Technical Services Top Aerospace / Defense company. In this job you will supervise a team of Quality Inspectors performing in process inspections and final inspections at various levels of production; maintain employee timecards, generate development and performance objectives for all associates, perform reviews and provide regular feedback to associates.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate day-to-day planning of the operation to ensure the team meets daily production goals
• Assist in scheduling and performing inspection activities to meet the performance metrics
• Understand the needs and critical shipments planned for each production
• Track inspection of product using the priority list
• Monitor QDIP process, review performance, KPI’s, inspection, on-time completion, build books, manufacturing documentation, work processes, associate skills, and the teams overall performance.
• Analyze nonconformance reports (NCRs) and trends to aid in continuous/preventative activities and escalate issues to IPT team members
• Drive Root Cause/Corrective Action for recurring issues or defects occurring within work cell.
• Support/Perform Quality, Engineering and Auditors during site visits and audits.
• Encourage team members to submit suggestions and provide solutions for inspection improvement implementation; Involve team members in problem-solving and manage interpersonal issues/team conflicts and escalate issues directly to the Quality Manager for further involvement.
• Interview, onboard, mentor and train new in-process inspectors upon hire.

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelors Degree and 3-5 years’ experience in manufacturing environment or 11+ years of experinece
• Minimum In-Process Inspection Level II, III, or Lead position for at least one year.
• Supervisory skills including employee management and onboarding.
• Knowledge and understanding of GD&T/a must.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO9001/AS9100 standard.
• Minimum In-Process Inspection Level II, III, or Lead position for at least one year.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience directly with the assigned operational team.
• Knowledge and understanding of GD&T/a must.
• Knowledge and understanding of ISO9001/AS9100 standard.
• Knowledge and understanding of J-STD.
• Knowledge and understanding of AS 9100, AS 9102
• Knowledge and understanding of mechanical and/or electrical inspection
• Knowledge and understanding of 1st article, in process, receiving and final inspection
• Knowledge and understanding of Root Cause Corrective Action
• Knowledge and understanding of quality department transformation, CE, Manufacturing
• Knowledge and understanding of DFARS, MRB
• Collaborative with suppliers and IPT
• Supervisory skills including employee management and onboarding.
• Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Lean, 5S or six sigma knowledge desired.
