Maintenance Training Manager - Hebron, Kentucky

The Training Manager reports to the Accountable Manger and is responsible for employees within the Training Department.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Possesses comprehensive knowledge of the RSM/QCM, Training Program Manual and of Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Manages, develops, and administers training programs for maintenance employees.
  • Coordinates with Maintenance Department management to determine formal classroom training.
  • Coordinates with customers regarding projects-in-work to determine potential training needs.
  • Develops, reviews, and updates training aids, programs, and manuals.
  • Reviews templates for course handouts, lesson plans, outlines, descriptions, objectives, and schedules.
  • Provides support for Training Manual development.
  • Audits and maintains the Training Department record keeping and systems for compliance & accuracy.
  • Ensure that all maintenance authorization lists are kept current.
  • Provide access to factory and manufacturer training as required to qualified technicians and inspectors.
  • Determine the need for original and recurrent training of personnel consistent with the work to be performed.

The Training Manager may temporarily delegate his/her authority to an appropriately qualified and authorized person in periods of absence. However, such delegation does not relieve the Manager of Training of the overall responsibilities.

Experience/Qualifications:

  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in Education or Training, aviation maintenance required.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant License (A&P)
  • Skilled in communication, organization, Microsoft Office programs, media technology, critical thinking, and problem solving.
  • Working knowledge of aircraft inspections and maintenance programs.
  • Candidate must be a self-starter with strong planning, organizational, written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.
  • Requires the ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, analyze situations objectively and make sound decisions, and interpret budgets and finance data.
  • Good interpersonal and presentation skills as well as solid computer skills are required.
  • Advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office programs.
  • Previous supervisory experience.
  • Ability to speak/read/write in English.
