Requirements:

Position Scope and Charter:

We are seeking candidates for the position of 2nd Shift Production Supervisor at the Indianapolis site. The individual will oversee the machining, finishing and assembly area's associated with military grade new build and repair piece parts and electro-mechanical assemblies. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring all tasks and deliverable assets meet the rigorous requirements of Aerospace Quality Standards and that the work is conducted in a manner compliant with applicable OSHA safety standards.

Essential Tasks:

The following is a sample of the various tasking required of the Vehicle Integration Supervisor. The omission of specific responsibilities does not exclude them from the position if the tasking is comparable or logically associated to the position.

  • Perform supervisory functions such as scheduling and prioritizing work assignments, conduct performance appraisals, takes disciplinary action, and makes promotion recommendations.
  • Review plans for required tasking steps and the associated labor hour content. Make controlled changes to work plans, assignments, or methods necessary to effectively accomplish the task.
  • Perform interviews and make staffing recommendations.
  • Share key organizational communications with teams and ensure appropriate actions are completed.
  • Ensure that the needs of employees as well as production goals are satisfied.
  • Lead the implementation and documentation of new processes and rework methods within team.
  • Maintain/modify existing and implement new statistical process controls.
  • Periodically conduct process audits related to Mechanical Assembly, such as tool calibration, Material Shelf Life and Foreign Object Controls.
  • Maintain the data necessary for compliance with the various facility certifications.
  • Perform related work as required.
  • Report on KPIs to management
  • Perform Root Cause Analysis for Corrective actions on safety and quality
Minimum Educational / Work Experience Requirements:

  • High school graduate or GED required. A minimum 1 years' experience in a leadership environment is required and a minimum of 2 years in a leadership role is desirable. A Bachelor's degree in Management or Leadership is desirable but not required.
Computer Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with a particular emphasis on Excel. Familiarity with SAP or similar Enterprise Resource Planning software is a plus.
Communication Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are a must.
  • Ability to communicate technical concerns in a manor the audience can understand.
  • Strong people skills with the ability to handle difficult discussions.
Technical Skills:

  • The candidate must be able to read and understand requirements detailed on drawings, technical manuals, engineering documents and on process routings.
Security Requirements:

  • The candidate must meet the requirements necessary to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance.
Physical Requirements:
