Part 91 Corporate Helicopter Pilot

Focuses on safe, non-commercial flights for executives or private clients, requiring duties like flight planning, pre-flight inspections, and navigating complex logistics under FAA Part 91 regulations. This role demands flexibility to handle on-call schedules, excellent decision-making skills for a dynamic environment, and strong communication abilities to interact with passengers and the flight department. Ensuring all aircraft systems are airworthy, preparing all flight documentation, and coordinating with air traffic control, along with assisting passengers and safety initiatives. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Flight operations: Conduct pre-flight inspections, prepare flight plans, and ensure all flight operations comply with Part 91 regulations and the aircraft's General Operations Manual (GOM).
  • Safety and compliance: Maintain the final authority on the safety of the crew, passengers, and aircraft. This includes staying current on all FAA regulations and performing all duties in a manner that upholds the highest safety standards.
  • Passenger and crew management: Coordinate with passengers, brief them on emergency procedures, and ensure all weight and balance limitations are met before every flight.
  • Aircraft maintenance: Perform walk-around inspections before and after flights and ensure all aircraft systems are airworthy.
  • Logistics and planning: Manage flight planning and weather checks and be prepared for travel, which includes international flights.
  • Documentation: Complete all required post-flight paperwork, such as duty logs and any other necessary documentation. 

Requirements:

  • Strong knowledge of FAA Part 91 operations and regulations OR Military helicopter pilot experience
  • Flexibility to work on-call, including weekends and holidays
  • Exceptional decision-making, communication, and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor
  • Proficiency in flight planning and weather analysis

Requirements:

  • 2000 hours total time (helicopter)
  • 1000 hours PIC (helicopter)
  • 1000 hours turbine
  • 200 hours of cumulative night experience to include NVG
  • FAA Commercial Rotorcraft Certification
  • Helicopter Instrument Rating
  • CFI/CFII
  • Current FAA Class 1 Medical Certificate

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3000 hours total time (helicopter)
  • 1500 hours PIC (helicopter)
  • 1500 hours Turbine
  • H-145/D3 experience
  • B-429 experience
  • Yacht operations experience
  • ATP (H) Rating
