JOB SUMMARY:

Manages and coordinates activities of the Parts Distribution organization as relates to all aspects of Inspection and Quality, as well as development, coordination, and adherence to all regulatory requirements for sourcing, storing, and distributing parts derived from alternate paths, such as STC, PMA, As-Removed, and related options. Furthermore, includes responsibility for process/data analysis, inspection optimization, new technology introduction, Quality process and tool improvements, training, new program readiness and quality planning for new product development and sustaining programs. Provides leadership that is committed to continuous improvement of the quality systems and quality of the product. This role may interface with customers internally and externally, as well as with outside suppliers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

middot; Assumes a leadership role in quality management by reviewing the current status of Quality, selecting Quality Improvement objectives, setting priorities on specific quality projects, organizing improvement teams, initiating training programs, including quality measures, and allotting personal time for hands-on leadership.

middot; Educates, trains, develops, and assures individual and group functions have been appropriately skilled in the performance of their job responsibilities. Job responsibilities and personnel development should be appraised on a regular basis.

middot; Understands customer requirements (internal and external), and continuously strives towards customer satisfaction through a clear understanding of the customer needed balanced with process understanding and process capabilities.

middot; Assures all FAA and DoD quality requirements are met including approval of Textron Aviation procedure manuals. Directs adherence to approved procedures and specifications.

middot; Communicates Quality system requirements, product and process acceptance criteria, and work with functional groups to define any changes for the betterment of all parties. This will be accomplished through procedural and guideline changes, which will be agreed-to and will be reflected in revised documentation.

middot; Reports actual quality performance as defined by SMS Safety Assurance and risk assessment procedures as required to the Director, Global Compliance and Quality.

middot; Ensures the proper submission of reports of defects or unairworthy conditions in accordance with FAR 145.63.

middot; Reviews, risks, and coordinates action on any ldquo;Maintenance Continuous Improvementrdquo; (MCI) reports generated.

middot; Continual monitoring and advising of regulatory changes and interpretations, including those in which there are conflicts between different agencies (FAA, EASA, CAA, etc).

middot; Identify, seek out, and develop standardized processes and policies that enable parts sourcing, storage, and distribution of parts outside of the Textron Aviation Production Certificate that are fully regarded as safe and compliant with all regulatory requirements, including utilization of 3rd party resources, recertification of ldquo;usedrdquo; product, utilization of non-Textron products, as well as leveraging Textronrsquo;s internal Experimental parts manufacturing.

middot; Ensures that operations are compliantly governed under the FAA 14 CFR part 21 Production Certificate requirements and the FAA 14 CFR part 145 Repair Station requirements. Additionally, ensures that a FAA Safety Management System (SMS), and ISO9002 Quality System is established, implemented, and maintained in accordance with the applicable procedures Manual and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP).

middot; Able to research and find pertinent FAA specifications, type certificate data sheets, airworthiness directives, manufacturersrsquo; overhaul manuals, service bulletins, related Federal Aviation Administration material, and other technical publications as required.

middot; Ensures that all technical information and specifications upon which aircraft parts are acquired, inspected, recertified, overhauled, repaired, and maintained are compliant with all applicable regulatory requirements, not limited to the FAA, CAA, and EASA.

middot; Ensures that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts.

Requirements:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

middot; Bachelorrsquo;s Degree Required

middot; Minimum 7 years of relative aviation, quality, manufacturing, or service experience required.

middot; Leadership experience preferred

QUALIFICATIONS:

middot; Candidate must be a self-starter with strong planning, organizational, written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.

middot; Requires the ability to handle multiple simultaneous tasks, analyze situations objectively and make sound decisions, and interpret budgets and finance data.

middot; Good interpersonal and presentation skills as well as solid computer skills are required.

middot; Prior inspection or production experience is helpful.

middot; Excellent communications skills

middot; Problem solving and organization skills

middot; Ability to work within team environments
