General Duties:

The Vice President of US Business Development is responsible for growing the company revenue. For developing and leading the US BD staff, conducting market analysis, and developing Key Account Business Development strategies and plans to support the DoD and US Government agencies resulting in securing contracts.

Essential Job Functions:

bull; Develop and implement plans to expand business presence in US Aerospace and Defense market segments in line with the Strategic Plan.

bull; Lead the business development teams to grow the opportunity pipeline, the number of quality bids per year and to grow the forward order book.

bull; Ensure consistent growth in US sales revenues through positive planning, deployment and management of the business development team.

bull; Focus on US government agencies, to maximize sales revenues.

bull; Manage and coordinate sales campaigns and the preparation and submission of bids, tenders, and contracts.

bull; Communicate bid strategies to the proposal team and to senior management by continually analyzing the competition, identifying risks and formulating plans to develop and maintain competitive advantage.

bull; Coordinate the preparation of project bids and proposals to US government agencies and US defense contractors in line with company procedure.

bull; Develop and sustain sales relationships with key decision makers and influencers at US government agencies.

bull; Maintain a high level of awareness of target markets and competitor activity. Share market and competitor information with all applicable channels within the organization.

bull; Establish relationships and working partnerships with large industry primes.

bull; Attend business meetings for the company sponsored associations and trade shows.

bull; Work closely with the US Senior Management Team to develop and maintain awareness in the marketplace of our technology and services.

bull; Lead market driven expansion of services

bull; Produce the annual Company revenue to gross margin budgets, targets and plans for submission to the Executive Board.

bull; Develop and report activity using business performance indicators.


Skills and Experiences:

bull; At least 10 years progressive experience in the Capture Management/Business Development/Project Management field in Aircraft Design, Integration, Modification with a confirmed record of identifying and closing opportunities with the aerospace and/or military sectors.

bull; Previous experience directly involved in modification and upgrading of fixed wing or rotary aircraft within governmental agencies highly desired.

bull; Experience in developing business opportunities within the aerospace and/or military community.

bull; Knowledgeable in technology including proficiency in with Microsoft Office software (particularly Excel and Power Point) and Salesforce CRM

bull; Must have ability to obtain up to Top Secret level clearance.

Education:

Minimum of a 4-year College degree in a technical/engineering discipline, or marketing/business management. Advanced degree preferred.
