At SNC’s Washington, D.C. office we are responsible for government affairs, international strategy, international business, and trade and regulatory compliance. We provide strategic guidance across the organization, helping to find alignment and compliance between SNC and the national security priorities of the U.S. government. Responsibilities:
Provide strategic vision and oversight for SNCs international trade licensing program
Formalize and standardize export licensing process, procedure, and instruction across ITCO
Collaborate with enterprise functional leadership to further integrate and streamline SNC’s trade compliance posture
Coordinate with senior leadership to align ITCO Licensing strategy with enterprise goals/objectives
Monitor regulatory landscape for potential impacts to SNCs portfolio
Manage labor and resource allocation to meet programmatic demands
Liaison between business area licensing personnel and the WDCO to optimize push-pull efforts with the USG export licensing community
Foster relationships with DC trade compliance community to ensure SNC remains at the forefront of trade compliance trends and best practices
Maintain licensing focused professional development program to optimize knowledge, skills, and abilities of Licensing personnel
Facilitate ongoing review of licensing activity to ensure consistency and identify best practices
Must-haves:
Able to effectively and clearly communicate complex regulatory requirements and solutions
Thorough understanding of export control and international trade concepts to include ITAR, EAR, FTR, FCPA, OFAC
Intermediate knowledge of Customs processes and associated compliance requirements
Experience analyzing and interpreting federal rules and regulations
Past experience implementing trade compliance concepts and associated risk mitigation strategies
Bachelors degree in a related field of study
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Preferred:
Typically, 8 years of relevant experience
•Higher education may substitute for relevant experience
Proficient knowledge of OCR EASE, DTRADE/DECCS, SNAP-R, Customs ACE
Prior experience as an Empowered Official
