The C-17 Logistics and Maintenance Manager at Altus AFB, OK shall oversee all Logistics and Maintenance support for the C-17 Training Devices and CLS services at multiple US and International training locations. This manager will support the MOBs and remote GISP sites providing spares, inventories, and maintenance data gathering and analysis.
Liaisons with multiple managers, supplier management, contracting, systems engineering, and supplier personnel.
Supports proposal activities for systems regarding spares, inventories, logistics support and maintenance requirements.
Performs briefings for senior staff and customers.
Leads planning and integration activities for profit and loss stand-alone support program(s) or major support business/program element where business needs dictate.
Applies technical knowledge of product support/logistics disciplines and Program Management Best Practices to direct program activities. Manages employees performing activities related to Program Management.
Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals.
Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Traveling required 15-20 of the time.
This position requires an active Secret U.S. Security Clearance. (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
More than 5 years of experience working cross-functionally in a leadership role.
More than 5 years of experience with any logistics or spares systems.
More than 3 years of experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
A Bachelors degree or higher.
Leadership experience in large military aircrew training center operations.
Experience working with the United States Air Force (USAF).
