National Training Director- Bell 206L/B - Cahokia, Illinois

Helicopters Inc. is a leading helicopter operator in the United States across multiple industry segments. We operate aircraft in more than 30 metropolitan areas around the country, using a fleet of Bell 206/407 series aircraft.

The National Training Director is responsible for the effective design, implementation, and management of the Companyrsquo;s pilot training programs, as well as other duties as assigned. The National Training Director collaborates closely with other management members to plan, design, and implement the Companyrsquo;s pilot training curriculum and related materials.

The National Training Director's will have a flexible schedule, with the possibility for a 7/7 schedule or 10/10. This position's home base may be anywhere in the United States, however the below bases are preferable:

  • Houston TX
  • Miami FL
  • St. Louis MO

The National Training Director will be required to come to headquarters periodically.

Requirements:

Flight Experience and Qualifications (Minimum/Preferred)

Total Time Helicopter PIC 2500/5000

Turbine Helicopter PIC 1500/4000

Bell 206B/L PIC 750/1500

Turbine Helicopter Instruction Given 500/1000

  • The National Training Director works together with the Director of Operations and the Chief Pilot in the establishment and maintenance of the approved Company ground and flight training program for Pilots, Flight Instructors, Check Airmen, and other flight personnel.
  • The National Training Director must hold at least a commercial pilotrsquo;s certificate, flight instructor rating, and a rotor craft instrument rating. An ATP certificate is preferred.
  • The National Training Director is required to maintain a valid and current first or second-class medical certificate.
  • The National Training Director must be current and qualified to serve as Pilot-In-Command in Bell 206B/L aircraft.
  • The National Training Director works in conjunction with the Chief Pilot to ensure all the Companyrsquo;s pilot flight training records are properly organized and maintained.
  • The Director of Training is expected to travel extensively in support of the Companyrsquo;s Pilot Training initiatives and will be the primary instructor for company Part 91 and 135 qualified pilots.
  • Previous experience as Part 135 Instructor and or Check Airman required.
  • Bell Helicopter Factory Training preferred.
  • NVG experience is a plus.
