To continue our standard of excellence, Piedmont is seeking a motivated, reliable leader to join our team as a Duty Manager, Regional Training. The Duty Manager of Regional Training is responsible for ensuring quality training is being provided to new employees, which includes conducting continuous learning for the training department team members. This position will also correct non-compliant behavior and provide support when employee absence affects the operation. The successful candidate will have two years of airline experience, outstanding organizational skills, and the ability to defuse conflicts among subordinate employees. This role will report to the Manager, Training Resources.
Essential Duties:
Provide quality training to our new employees, and continuous learning for the training department team members
Manage training projects
Monitor records for compliance with ongoing training initiatives, company and government regulatory agency mandated
Coach and provide career development to the team
Correct non-compliant behavior and impose disciplinary action as required
Understand the corporate culture, policies, and goals, and take measures to implement these into daily work routines
Administrative duties may include daily/weekly/monthly reports
Provide support when employee absence affects the operation
Job Qualifications and Competencies:
Two years of airline experience, preferably all functions (ticketing, gate, ramp)
Experience in customer service and safety compliance
Outstanding organizational skills and ability to multi-task
Ability to work independently, set and meet own deadlines
Ability to work well with all levels of management and support staff
Able to defuse conflicts among subordinate employees
Advanced Microsoft Office skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Experienced instructor or public speaker
Extensive knowledge of QIK, Sabre
Bachelor’s Degree in Aviation, Education, or related field
Work Environment:
Standard office environment, use of telephones, computers, and other office equipment
All shifts including weekends, nights, holidays and/or irregular shifts
Physical Requirements:
Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling, walking, standing, reaching, lifting, climbing up and down stairs
Handle objects up to 70 pounds
