 
				
	
	
The FAA-licensed A & P Mechanic performs scheduled maintenance, makes repairs, and completes inspections required by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the aircraft-approved and established and/or modified maintenance procedures and processes.

REASONING ABILITY:
The work may include assignments that are extremely complex and difficult in character requiring the exercise of considerable judgment and ingenuity. Therefore, the ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed and involved written or oral instructions is necessary. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in both standardized and non-standardized situations is required.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works where temperature fluctuation occurs consistent with the outside temperature, dust particulates, and engine fumes are present in the amount expected in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud, depending on the equipment involved.
In some instances, Personal Protective Equipment requirements includes the use gloves, dust mask, appropriate eye and ear protection when in the vicinity of manufacturing and aircraft. Those tasks will be specifically outlined in the safety manual.
