Summary:

The Senior Supervisor, Manufacturing Operations - 2AWW supervises entry and intermediate professional level employees or team leaders of production employees and sets day-to-day goals. Manages cell productivity and guides scheduling, sequencing of work, and production innovation to optimize production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Meet business metrics goals as defined for each cell (Cost, Quality, Delivery), interfaces with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service

  • Environmental Health and Safety, ACE/CORE, Employee Fulfillment); ensures all quality related items for multiple cells or a complex cell are complete and documented to meet established quality standards; implement root cause corrective actions in a timely manner to ensure quality standards are maintained Implement ACE/CORE and Lean Strategies to improve Quality, reduce process time and reduce operational costs Ensure that all employees adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety procedures

  • Guides cost reduction and process improvement in multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness; plans and executes scheduling for multiple cells or a complex cell to meet production schedules; guides the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for multiple cells or a complex cell to optimize productivity

  • Supervises activities for materials and logistics problem resolution for multiple cells or a complex cell to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations; manages cell performance and productivity for multiple cells or a complex cell to maximize productivity; guides production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for multiple cells or a complex cell to enhance production capabilities

  • Ensure that all assigned employees have current development plans and performance reviews; coach employees in team development and motivational strategies; mange all aspects of assigned hourly workforce: time attendance, time off, rewards, discipline process, training, communications, etc.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Basic Qualifications:

  • A Bachelors Degree and minimum 5 years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or similar industrial environment or a Masters Degree and minimum 3 years experience an experience in an engineering, manufacturing, operations management, program/project management or similar industrial environment

  • At least 1 or more years of team leadership experience

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Additional Information:

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship

What is my role type?

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for benefits, including but not limited to, medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, long-term disability, 401(k) match, flexible spending accounts, flexible work schedules, employee assistance program, Employee Scholar Program, parental leave, paid time off, and holidays. Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
