Job Summary:

Pratt Whitney Military Engines is seeking a Director, F135 Digital Strategy to lead an integrated team in developing and implementing a digital strategy. This key role will need to leverage technology, using  data as a product (DaaP) and data mesh methodologies to improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and overall success of the F135 program.

The position will report to the Vice President of the F135 Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Refine and execute the multi-year F135 digital road map aligned with technology advancement and company strategy
  • Analyze F135 program needs and objectives to identify areas where additional digital solutions, including data-driven insights, can provide an advantage.
  • Refine and implement a digital strategy aligned with the F135 program goals, considering security, interoperability, data governance, and a data mesh architecture.
  • Manage and oversee the implementation of digital solutions, ensuing clear customer-oriented benefits and value proposition
  • Collaborate with F135 program and cross-functional stakeholders to drive continued advancement and delivery around programmatic and maintenance/sustainment-related projects
  • Serve as a key member of the ME and PW digital/model-based enterprise (MBE) leadership teams

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Digital Technology, Engineering, or related STEM field
  • Minimum of 14+ years’ experience in Program Management, Digital Technology, and/or Engineering
  • At least 12 years of demonstrated experience working with business leadership, influencing effectively across all levels of the organization required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s or advanced degree in Digital Technology, Engineering, or related STEM field
  • Strong knowledge of digital technologies, data management, data mesh principles, and their potential applications in the military domain.
  • Understanding of F135 program, general program management, and data-driven decision making
  • Experience in developing and implementing digital strategies with a data focus.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a complex, fast-paced environment with a focus on data security.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. This means that responsibilities of the job need to be performed onsite on a regular basis.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 171,000 USD - 343,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
