Job Summary:

The F119 Sustainment Program for the Raptor Engine (SPaRE) contract with the United States Air Force (USAF) covers material, maintenance, tooling, tech data and engineering/technical support of the F119 engines that powers the F-22 Raptor.  Depot level maintenance occurs exclusively at Tinker Air Force Base.  This year 164 modules will induct with a projected 15 growth over the next 4 years.

The F119 Depot Operations team is seeking a team-oriented, self-motivated, -guided, and -aware leader to excel in Depot Integration Manager role.  The ideal candidate continually and calmly guides team efforts toward overall objectives in a dynamic environment.  The manager will supervise staff supporting the F119 Heavy Maintenance Center (HMC).  The manager will also serve focal for depot items and work resolution with cross-functional teams.  This Program Management Office role is responsible for induction work scope creation configuration (via Base Engine Managers) and technical support (via Field Service Representatives).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Base Engine Managers and Field Service Representatives supporting F119 HMC.
  • Site manager alternate; represent depot operations interests status to leadership, partner, and team.
  • Drive organizational change using standard work, turnback tracking, and other continuous improvement tools.
  • Provide clear communication on task priority and help balance other priorities.
  • This position requires strong integration with the Sustainment Program Management team in East Hartford, the Military Engines Sustainment Operations team in Oklahoma City, F-22 field assigned PW teams, and the USAF for depot operations to resolve emerging issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science or technical field are the preferred areas of study with 10+ years of experience supporting or leading military aerospace maintenance or related industry required, OR, advanced degree with 7+ years of experience supporting or leading military aerospace maintenance related industry required.
  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership role.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Previous experience with the military or F119 engine.
  • Maintenance, Repair Overhaul maintenance experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft software programs/data bases/Project/Visio.
  • Ability to problem solve in a dynamic, complex environment.

On-Site: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
