This assignment is for a Site Manager position, to support F-35A/B operations at Amendola AB and ITS Cavour, Italy.

Must be willing to deploy, as required, for a long-term assignment, work any shift, and weekends. Some travel may be required. Candidates must be willing and able to deploy with Customer personnel to hazardous duty location. US Department of Defense (DoD) mandated vaccinations may be required.

Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Selected candidates must pass an overseas physical examination.

The Site Manager will be the single-point of contact to oversee all on-site F-35 contractor support operations at Amendola AB and aboard the ITS Cavour, Italy and will be the primary customer liaison to Italian Air Force (ItAF) and Italian Navy (ItN) leadership at Amendola AB and ITS Cavour, respectively. Site Manager reports to the Field Operations and Support Director and maintains close coordination with the Sustainment Program Manager in the management of Performance Based Logistics requirements.

The Site Manager will have overall responsibility for on-site contractor technical services, Autonomic Logistics Information System (ALIS), training system support, and sustainment spares warehouse liaison services. Additionally, the Site Manager will work closely with the on-site Pratt Whitney Field Service Engineers to ensure that all F135 support impacts are resolved in a timely and efficient manner. As part of these responsibilities, he/she will manage project / support resources in compliance with cost goals and operating budgets and maintain a sustained growth of technical and professional competence of the on-site support team.

The Site Manager will be responsive to the operational and support concerns of ItAF and ItN leadership at Amendola AB and ITS Cavour, respectively, and ensure responsive support is provided by contractor support activities. Management tasks include, but are not limited to, oversight of all on-site contractor activities, planning and scheduling of on-site team work assignments (including potential contractor deployment packages), enforcement of safety and physical security procedures and directives, and management of labor charges and administrative documentation. The Site Manager will also ensure personnel compliance with program, company, and government agency policies and procedures and coordinate staffing and training requirements.

Requirements:

Basic Qualifications:
--Must have demonstrated experience working and interacting with senior management within unit, operations, and maintenance communities.
--Demonstrated experience managing product / system engineering support.
--Experience with fighter aircraft maintenance leadership.
--Working knowledge of operations in and around operational environment.
--Knowledge of pilot and maintainer systems processes, and/or logistics support required.
--Education and background are vital to establish credentials. Strong verbal and written skills as well as the ability to lead diverse workforce is required.

Desired Skills:
Candidate should possess a broad military aircraft support background and advanced interpersonal and communication skills to be effective in a high tempo operational environment.
--Ability to effectively communicate with supporting companies (Pratt Whitney, NGC, etc.) and local base and ship authorities critical for success.
--Previous naval or marine maintenance or operations experience aboard aircraft carriers
--Foreign Military Sales (FMS) customer fighter training operations support.
--Prior military or civilian equivalent operational maintenance logistics experience desirable; specifically organizational and intermediate maintenance experience.
--Should be considered an expert authority in the maintenance, operations, and support disciplines.
--Interim Contractor Support (ICS) experience to include retrofit management desirable. Familiarity with the F-35 logistics, autonomic logistics information system (ALIS), technical publications approach and supportable low observable support concept beneficial.
