The Compression Systems Engineering (CSE) organization is responsible for the engineering activities for the Fan/Low Pressure Compressor and High Pressure Compressor modules across all of PWs military and commercial products. CSE is specifically looking for a highly motivated and disciplined individual to be a Discipline Manager supporting a large module level team called a Component Integrated Product Team (CIPT).
The Project Discipline Manager is an integral part of the CSE leadership team and serves as the direct line supervisor for a team of project engineers. This supervisory position is part of the Next Generation Product Family Geared Turbofan CIPT leadership team, responsible for ensuring technical excellence, task execution, and product delivery of the Bombardier C- Series and Airbus A320 Neo engine Fan modules. In this role, you will work collaboratively to solve problems with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and system design teams.
As Project Discipline Manager your responsibilities include:All aspects of the design from a project engineering discipline perspectiveDeveloping and sustaining hardware to meet or exceed module and system requirementsEnsuring the successful execution of P Ws engineering process called Engineering Standard Work Supporting the team to meet aggressive program demands.Talent development and mentorship of the project engineers, advancement of the project discipline, and continuous improvement of project engineering tools and procedures

Basic Qualifications:BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering10+ years of combined experience in the development of gas turbine components and project managementUS Citizenship due to government programsPreferred Qualifications:Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering or MBAExperience in the development of fans or compressorsSolid project management skills, including budgeting, scheduling, resource planning, EVMS, critical path schedule development and risk managementFamiliarity with P W project management tools and procedures Demonstrated experience leading teams in the successful execution tasks to meet technical, schedule and budget requirements.Previous experience in either development or production environment executing hardware deliveriesCapability to work and lead in collaboration with other non-collocated teams.Demonstrated ability to mentor and develop staff. Previous supervisor and team leadership experience required.Strong analytical, problem solving and trending skillsFocus on results and the ability to drive tasks to completion
