Job Description

Under the supervision of the Manager, Pricing and Ancillary, the main objective of the position is to ensure the smooth operation of the entire pricing department to maximize revenue per available seat mile (RASM) by initiating daily actions and reactions based on the competitive context and applying pricing principles. The manager works closely with the Pricing analysts, Revenue Management (RM), Change and Practice (RMPC), Programs/Alliances, and Marketing teams.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Communicate and reinforce the pricing strategy defined by the manager to the analysts, ensuring that the best actions are taken.
  • Measure team performance using key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Manage meeting follow-ups and ensure that initiatives are carried out within appropriate timeframes.
  • Implement and optimize control procedures and business practices.
  • Ensure that pricing policies are respected and applied across all Air Transat markets. Specifically, ensure that pricing actions are consistent with defined performance and strategy.

This action is carried out by:

    • Analyzing revenue targets set by the company,
    • Analyzing performance indicators (current and historical trends),
    • Following competitive intelligence information with analysts,
    • Validating and recommending the best actions to take.

Rely on key pricing principles: customer segmentation, pricing, and demand elasticity.

  • Ensure pricing attractiveness and the implementation of tactical pricing across all markets, staying constantly aware of competitive developments (price monitoring, market feedback) and continuously analyzing all competitive movements.
  • Ensure the consistency of pricing actions with the corresponding seat allocations. This action is carried out through close collaboration with Revenue Management analysts
  • Coordinate teams responsible for price distribution in GDS/ATPCO and Radixx to ensure the most effective market implementation.
  • Coordinate the departments daily activities (task distribution) and ensure the continuous training of analysts.
  • Participate in department projects, particularly those aimed at improving team productivity and, more generally, the quality provided by the department.

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Over 6 years of experience in airline revenue and pricing, including a minimum of 2 years in a direct or cross-functional management position. University degree (undergraduate).
  • Training, interpersonal skills, and dynamism: demonstrated skills in staff training, proven ability to motivate a team while holding them accountable for results.
  • Excellent communication (English and French) and synthesis skills: Highly demonstrated ability for simplification, demonstration, and persuasion.
  • Autonomy, analytical skills, rigor, and attention to detail: Minimum of 2 years of experience required in a revenue management position.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite, DDS/Cirium, Infare, Power BI, GDS, and ATPCO, as well as Architect as an asset.
  • Advanced knowledge of airline pricing distribution systems, revenue management, and their interaction with distribution and passenger service systems
