Pilot in Command (PIC) reports directly to the Chief Pilot and DOO. The PIC prepares and ensures the safe and efficient operation of company aircraft and passenger/cargo on board in accordance with the Federal Aviation Regulations and company procedures.
PIC is responsible to ensure the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.
Duties include but are not limited to:

To carry out such duties concerning the flight, in accordance with the Standard Operating Procedures, including procedures, limitations, and performance relating to the specific aircraft type.

To confirm the safe navigation of the aircraft, maintaining a continuous and independent check upon both the geographical position of the aircraft and its safe terrain clearance.

To safely and properly conduct the flight in compliance with the current flight plan and Standard Operating Procedures.

To communicate instruction, information, and advice to the crew, to ensure the safe and efficient conduct of the flight.

To seek and receive written and verbal information from Dispatch, the Chief Pilot, or DOO, to fulfill the duty of properly conducting a safe and efficient flight.

To report safety concerns, irregularities, incidents, and accidents to Chief Pilot and DOO.

To review and revise manuals onboard aircraft to insure currency and availability.

To help load and unload aircraft when necessary.
