Position Summary The Supplier Recovery Manager (SRM) leads and coordinates corrective actions and recovery plans when suppliers fail to meet quality, delivery, cost, or compliance requirements. The SRM’s focus is containment, root-cause resolution, supplier capability improvement, cost recovery, and restoring reliable supply while minimizing impact to production, customers and safety (especially critical in braking systems).
Position will directly report to the Division Supply Chain Manager and will interact with all levels of Division management. May supervise supplier recovery personal and outside contract services.

Primary responsibilities
Qualifications• Bachelor degree (required) in Supply Chain or Operations Management, Business, Engineering or other related field; technical engineering degree preferred. Advanced degree such as MBA preferred• Experience working in or with Operations, Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing disciplines a plus• Four or more years of increasing leadership responsibility within manufacturing operations requiring advanced project planning and team organizational skills• Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives• Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities• Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals• Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change• Thorough understanding of production technology, and/or specialty support areas including broad knowledge of business and regulatory environments and trends
