The SEC Reporting Manager is responsible for overseeing the process of periodic financial reporting to be filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission, inclusive of Forms 10-Q and 10-K. The position will provide an opportunity to join a successful, rapidly growing private jet charter company.
Essential functions

- Consolidate books on a monthly basis for use in internal/external reporting requirements
- Oversee individuals involved in the preparation of external financial statements and review of associated supporting documentation
- Reviews accounting documents to ensure accuracy of information and calculations and makes or directs correcting entries
- Assist with analyzing financial statements on a monthly basis and report on variances
- Answers accounting and financial questions by researching and interpreting data
- Coordinates requests with internal and external auditors
- Reviews and recommends modifications to the accounting systems and procedures
- Prepares special projects as needed and substitutes for other staff as needed or assigned
- Assisting with the month-end close process
- Research of technical accounting matters, including new pronouncements for issuers
- Become an expert on the company’s systems (Intacct, Workiva, etc.) and champion process improvements
- Supporting tax audit compliance by compiling and preparing information as requested
- Assisting with other critical projects as needed
