The Senior Contract Director is responsible for leading and overseeing the full lifecycle of contract management, from negotiation
and execution to compliance and closeout. This role ensures that all contracts align with organizational objectives, regulatory
requirements, and risk management standards. The Senior Contract Director serves as a strategic partner to executive leadership,
providing guidance on complex contractual matters, driving process improvements, and fostering strong relationships with clients,
vendors, and stakeholders. This position requires exceptional expertise in contract law, negotiation, and financial analysis, as well as
proven leadership in managing teams and high-value agreements in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Provides guidance and direction in relation to contractual, business, procurement, and security responsibilities on the FT Rucker
Aviation Maintenance Services contract IAW the PWS, FAR, and company policies.
Applies knowledge of PWS, FAR, and company policies towards routine operations, negotiating, and proposals.
Interacts with senior military/government/public officials on a routine basis in performance of duties.
Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease cycle time and streamline workflow processes.
Develops and sustains a culture of safety, quality compliance, and professionalism.
Ensures compliance with directives, technical manuals, work standards, safety procedures, and company policies relating to
contract/business operations.
Ensures sufficient manpower, technical data, tools and equipment are available to meet PWS requirements.
Monitors attendance, approves timecards, assigns overtime.
Applies Company policy and procedures pertaining to the promotion, training, discipline, and termination of employees.
Ensures employees possess the qualifications and certifications necessary to perform their jobs.
Qualifications and Experience:
Seven years of management experience, 15 years of government or commercial contracting experience.
Bachelors Degree in related field required. Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Juris Doctor (JD) desired.
Superior knowledge of U.S. Government acquisition regulations is required.
Must possess strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Must be experienced and competent interacting with senior military/government/public officials.
Able to obtain/maintain security clearance as required by PWS.
Comprehensive understanding of maintenance and quality control procedures in an Army or AF aviation environment.
Must be proficient in MS Office.
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand English.
Must be reliable, self-motivated, and able to deal with stressful situations and timelines while maintaining a professional and non-
confrontational attitude.
