Capitol Helicopters Inc. is seeking experienced Powerline Construction and Fire Pilots to join our team. We operate a diverse fleet of 19 helicopters, supporting a wide range of missions with a strong focus on safety, innovation, and operational excellence.

Missions We Support

  • Powerline construction (HEC)
  • Powerline patrol
  • Multiple-agency fire support (EU & CWN)
  • Part 135 charter operations
  • Night Vision Goggle (NVG) operations
  • LiDAR/mapping
  • External lift (HVAC, construction, etc.)

Minimum Job Requirements

  • 2,500 hours PIC (helicopter)
  • 100 hours vertical reference
  • 100 hours PIC in at least one of the following aircraft:
    • Bell 407
    • Bell 429
    • Bell 212S/205
    • Bell 412
    • UH-60
  • 500 hours PIC turbine

Preferred Experience

Candidates with experience and appropriate qualifications in any of the following will be highly preferred:

  • Human External Cargo (HEC) / Short Haul
  • Precision vertical reference operations
  • USFS Carded (Bell 407, 429, 205, 212S, 412, or UH-60)
  • PG&E project experience

  • FAA Commercial or ATP Pilot Certificate Rotorcraft.
