 SUMMARY OF POSITION

The Regional Maintenance Manager (RMM) is responsible for ensuring the safe, compliant, and efficient operation of assigned aircraft while providing strong leadership and direction to Aviation Maintenance Technicians (AMTs).  This role emphasizes accountability for safety, effective communication, and collaboration with internal teams, customers, and regulatory authorities.

 

UNDERSTAND ESSENTIAL AND NONESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

        Lead, supervise, and mentor AMTs, promoting a culture of safety, professionalism, and teamwork.

        Maintain consistent communication with the Maintenance Operations Director, Program Managers, and other stakeholders regarding aircraft status, downtime forecasts, and operational priorities.

        Oversee daily, short-term, and long-term maintenance planning, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, Airworthiness Directives, company policies, and the General Maintenance Manual.

        Manage all aspects of aircraft maintenance, including inspections, repairs, modifications, and documentation.

        Ability to read and interpret Aircraft manufacturers and third party (STC/337) maintenance instructions, drawings, blueprints and instructions.

        Ensures that all aircraft maintenance documentation is executed in compliance with applicable CFRs and company policies and procedures.

        Forwards Mechanical Interruption Summary (MIS) 135.417 reports to the Maintenance Operations Director for review.

        Work collaboratively as part of Apollo’s program leadership team and interface with Apollo partners where applicable. 

        Responsible for thorough knowledge of the Apollo General Maintenance Manual, Apollo policies and procedures.

        Ensure timely resolution of deferred items and accurate reporting of Aircraft Out-of-Service events.

        Support the company’s Safety Management System by modeling safety-first behavior and enforcing compliance across all operations.

        Provide after-hours maintenance support and troubleshooting, including remote problem-solving and on-site response as needed.

        Travel within the region to assist with maintenance activities and provide leadership presence.

        Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

        Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide, evaluate, and develop team members.

        Sound judgement and objectivity in decision-making, even under pressure.

        Ability to build cooperative relationships across diverse teams and external stakeholders.

        Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities.

        Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related systems.

        FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate.

        3 Years’ experience in a Part 135 Air Medical Operation.

        Valid driver’s license.

        Regular and reliable attendance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

 

        Inspection Authorization (IA).

        Manufacturer training on Bell 407, Bell 429, EC135, EC145, and King Air).

        5 years’ leadership experience in a Part 135 Air Medical Operations.
