Description:

  • Assists the PIC in the safe and efficient conduct of the flight
  • Maintains a working knowledge of the duties and responsibilities of the Pilot-in-Command
  • Assumes PIC duties, including control of the flight, in the event of PIC incapacitation
  • Participates in the Safety Management System.
  • Flies the aircraft per the directions of the PIC
  • Performs takeoffs and landings under the authority of the PIC
  • Assumes any duties delegated by the Chief Pilot and/or PIC
  • Completes an aircraft Post-flight Inspection after each arrival
  • Completes minor aircraft servicing to include accomplishing water and lavatory servicing, evaluating tire pressures and monitoring refueling
  • Re-stocks aircraft snacks and drink supplies to keep on board stock supplied with unexpired items

Requirements:

  • Possesses a degree in aviation or related field (preferred)
  • Possesses a current Airline Transport Pilot license with multi-engine and instrument rating and type rating in assigned aircraft
  • Possesses an FAA First Class Medical Certificate
  • Maintains PIC qualification on aircraft operated by company per 14 CFR Part 91 Federal Aviation Regulations.
  • Possesses a valid United States Passport and/or other travel documents for free entrance and exit in other countries
  • Possesses a minimum of 2,500 hours of total documented flight time, plus 1,000 hours turbine time (of which 500 hours is flying a jet), 1,000 hours as Pilot-in-Command, and 150 hours of instrument experience; (Insurance requirement ndash; may be waived by underwriter. ndash; see below.)
  • Any Crew or Crewmember maintaining an FAA Commercial or more advanced Pilot Certificate with Multi-Engine and Instrument Ratings, and who has a minimum of 2500 total logged hours of which at least 1500 hours have been in Multi-Engine Aircraft, at least 500 hours in Turbo Jet Aircraft, at least 25 hours in the insured make and model Aircraft, and who has successfully completed the Company approved Ground and Flight School, at a facility which uses full-motion simulator based training for the make and model Aircraft being flown within the preceding 12 calendar months of the intended flight.
