Treat yourself to a trip to the beach. No restaurant on the field but there are always a couple of taxi's out front waiting to take you on a 10 minute ride to the boardwalk for $5. There's also a golf course right next to the field - so bring your clubs! The airport is very close to the beach so be sure and bring you camera and get some nice pictures of the coast! 12/3/2009 - We flew to Ocean County MD in November of 2009 in our Cessna 172sp. Before departing I called ahead to see if transportation was available. The lady at the FBO was very nice. I explained that we wanted to stop by and check out the boardwalk and grab a bite to eat before departing later on that evening. She told me that there were taxi cabs available but asked if I would like a rental car. I told her that I didn't want to spend to much money and she told me to hold on while she checked with the rental car company. She came back and asked if I would be interested in renting a car for a very small amount of money since it was the off season. When I got to the airport we asked for a top off and paid the $6.00 tie-down fee by the way, the tie-downs had ropes. I was pleasantly surprised when she directed me to the Mercedes Benz sitting in the airport parking lot! We checked out the boardwalk and ate at Secrets a restraint on the north side of town supposedly very well know. The food was great and the entries were half price. Good to go! Cant wait to return in the summer with my family.

7/15/2010 - When I called a taxi company this year the fare from the airport to the boardwalk at Division St was $24 one way. Beware and check out transportation in advance. I went elsewhere.
