The best $100.00 Hamburger stop ever! There are at least 40 restaurants within a 3-5 min walk of the Northwest transient ramp. WIllow bend Shopping mall is across the street. Home Depot and Costco are all adjacent to the Airport property. Christina's Mexican, Moo-yaa's Burger's, Pei-Wei, you name it, it's there. and you can even go shopping at Neiman's. Right traffic to 34. Pattern Alt is 1200. Listen to Addison arrival instructions on 133.4, and do what they say. Contact Addison 126.00 before and they will hand you off to the unicom 122.9.

Greenville - Greenville, ME
Near Moosehead Lake, Greenville hosts the largest seaplane fly-in in the USA held on the week-end after Labor-Day every year... rain or shine. as well as lots of sea-planes, there are hundreds of wheel planes at the airport. free shuttle down to the lake to watch the seaplane events. Lots of good food and good times.

This unmapped airstrip is a 9-27 turf runway a mile and a half East of Turkey Run State Park. Call ahead to make arraingements to land. Ideal for a get-away for a small plane. Grannys Farm Bed and Breakfast combines Turkey Run State Park, Covered Bridge Capitol of the Midwest, an Airstrip, a Bed and Breakfast and friendly host to make your get away complete. I have stayed there 2 or 3 times and look forward to return. This is a wonderful find for aviators...and not well known. Enjoy.

Thomas P. Stafford Airport - Weatherford, OK
Weatherford's airport hosts the outstanding Thomas P. Stafford Museum, memorializing the NASA space program and General Stafford's contributions including the Apollo-Soyuz program. Weatherford is a thriving college town that can easily be explored with one of the airport's courtesy cars. Fuel is relatively inexpensive too. One of our favorite stops!

Nice airport with a great view of the Mississippi River. The FBO offers courtesy transportation to nearby restaurants. I recommend a place that's about 2/3 of a mile away called Huckleberry's. It's a family restaurant that had very good food for around the $5 price range.

The Pea Patch is the location for most EAA 172 Chapter meetings. We ususally meet at 12:30 on the 2nd Saturday of each month for an awesome lunch and then a meeting aftwards. There are often very interesting programs following the meeting. Pilots are welcome to fly in and enjoy.
