3/14/2014 - Chester is such a nice small town, but, a cab must come quite a way from a bigger town some distance away to fetch you. That makes for a pricy ride that should be arranged befor you fly out to aviod spending all your time at the airport. - Submitted by Lynn
12/14/2005 - FYI - The airport identifier for Chester CT is now KSNC. Fuel and repair facility on the field (9-5pm). When in the area, be sure to check out the fine resturants in Chester and the surrounding area; The two Goodspeed theaters; Steam Train and Riverboat in Essex etc. Lots to see and do.
11/17/2003 - As a Pilot and Resident of Essex I was suprised to see our little town listed. But, with so much to see and do I thought I would add to the list. Fly into 3B9 and Essex is 15 minutes South off on RT9. Take time for an ole' fashion ride on the Essex Steam train. Journey into downtown Essex and have a sandwich at the Black Seal resturant or for the tourist thing, stop at the "Griz". The Griswold Inn is the oldest, running inn in the US. Walk down to the CT River and check out the CT river Museum along with the hundreds of boats that navigate the CT river.
