Branson West Municipal - Emerson Field Airport, Branson West, MO
Brand new airport near Branson, excellent facilities, inexpensive fuel, secure, car rental arrangements and very friendly operator. Branson is one of the top destinations in the Mid West, with enough activities in the area to keep you busy for several weeks from fishing to theater with shopping in between. Beautiful surroundings in the heart of the Ozark Mountains. We spent 1 night, enjoyed a wonderful meal at the White River Fish House on the Branson Landing in Old Town. The pedestrian walkway along the river, the dancing water fountain show and the fine shops are unique and give you a family oriented Las Vegas type experience in a much prettier location. We'll be back. Oh, I forgot to mention the Fall folliage in early October.

 6/27/2011 - Stopped for fuel during cross country VFR flight and was held up overnight by deteriorating weather. FBO folks were helpful and accomodating, great pilot's lounge.
