Job Summary: Reporting to the President, Engineered Solutions, the Manager, Program Management is accountable for building the department with the capabilities to successfully manage AerSale Engineered Solutions customer and RD product development programs while also managing assigned programs. The Manager, Program Management ensures the department and Team are meeting requirements, delivering quality products within specifications and contract, on schedule and within budget. Partners with Engineered Solutions leadership team to continue to refine the business management system and support profitable scaling and growth. Contributes significantly to creating sustained business and AerSale enterprise value.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Builds out the Program Management Department and Function within AerSale Engineered Solutions, establishing necessary process, protocol, and toolsets to meet program, business unit and enterprise goals.
- Hires and retains world class Program Management Talent.
- Works with Partners and Customers to develop program plans and execute flawlessly.
- Has overall accountability of the program profit and loss (PL) and ensures execution to profitability goals.
- Oversees the Team leading the entire program lifecycle from initiation to closure ensuring all necessary managerial tools are in place to meet program and enterprise goals.
- Ensures Program Integrated Schedules are developed and updated on a regular basis.
- Develops and maintains positive customer relationships as either the primary point of contact or through direct reports.
- Establishes and ensures timely maintenance of Program Management Tools including Program Management Plan, Data Requirements Matrix, Program Action Item List, Risk Matrix, etc.
- Leads and coordinates commercial and proprietary discussions with Customer, Finance and Sales.
- Builds and maintains positive working relationships with Program Team Members.
- Trains and coaches direct reports and Program Team members to meet program and business needs in alignment with AerSale Values.
- Ensures effective risk management processes are in place.
- Ensures effective program change management process are in place and ensures changes are asserted for when appropriate.
- Leads the development, coordination, and implementation of solutions to problems.
- Ensures necessary program meetings are scheduled and attended in accordance with program lifecycle needs (e.g., ITCM, PDR, CDR, FAI).
- Reports program status on a regular basis.
- Participates in proposal preparation as needed.
- Develops, monitors and reports required business metrics for all assigned programs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Some travel may be required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Business, or equivalent aerospace program management experience. MBA preferred.
- Minimum of ten (10) years leading commercial aerospace product development STC programs.
- Minimum of five (5) years supervisory experience required.
- Experience in managing electrical / avionics LRU programs strongly preferred.
- Work experience in a research and development environment strongly preferred.
- PMP certification required.

- Ability to calculate moderate to complex mathematical functions.
- Strong understanding of accounting rules, margin analysis, and financial decision models.
- Proven ability to execute written contractual documents.
- Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Ability to understand complex operations from a broad perspective.
- Prior experience in establishing program management and business processes in an aerospace environment.
- Sound judgment and decision-making skills.
- Knowledge and effective practice of aerospace quality practices such as ISO9001 and/or AS9100.
- Working knowledge of quality and process improvement tools such as Six Sigma and LEAN.
- Experienced negotiator with the ability to manage conflict and negotiate resolutions.
- Must possess a current passport or be able to obtain one.
- Must be able to learn company systems.
- Hours may vary due to organizational need.
Physical Requirements:
- Normal amount of sitting, there may be some walking, bending, climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, and crawling associated with on-site inspections.
- On an occasional basis, may be required to lift and carry up to 25 pounds.
- Some work may be performed in industrial settings.
