6/2/2021 - Flew into Jekyll Island from PDK for lunch and beach time for kids in May 2021. Watch out for the winds. There was no METAR at that time. Rented a Redbug golf cart, went into town for lunch, and checked out the beach. Kids had a fun time riding in the Redbug and at the beach. There are several food options..we went to the market place for lunch. As of May 2021, the airport has 100 LL. I would visit again! Checkout my blog for videos: https://www.youtube.com/c/av8or51

7/8/2012 - My wife and I took our 150 to Jeckyl from KCTJ. Good runway, free ramp parking, Red Bug rental cars get you around the Island. There is camping at the campground on the north end of the island. Restaurants, hotels and a neat historic district to visit. No fuel at the airport but friendly people. - Submitted by Jerry
6/16/2012 - There are 'Red Bug' electric cars at the airport you can rent. The electric bug was a great way to explore the island and a lot of fun. - Submitted by Mick Youmans
4/29/2012 - Jekyll made for a wonderful day trip. We rented a RedBug electric car at the airport. We then drove into the historical district. Had lunch at Latitude 31 on the pier. We toured the Jekyll Island Club and got to go into two of the restored cottages. We then drove to the far side of the island and after a walk on the beach, had dinner at Fins.
The folks at the airport could not have been nicer. There's after hours access to the building and Wifi for using Foreflight.
Jekyll will be on our list of places to return. - Submitted by John
3/11/2009 - 03/1109 Nice beaches, logding, food and people, Jekyll island is a relaxing place. the aiport Managers, Rich and Clayton well rent you a red bug, or you can walk. Thanks Rich and Clayton. Gilbert king Wv
10/29/2005 - Great place for a day trip (lunch), weekend or extended vacation. The airstrip is on the island and you can walk or call a shuttle. Latitude 31 or the RAH Bar at the marina, 1 mile south of airport, has the best 'Low Country Boil' I've ever tasted. Tell Dan, Jay, or Kevin you flew in for lunch and they'll set you up--forget the $100 hambuger the Rah Bar Low Country Boil- "it is to fly for!" -the Cincinnati Kid
